Claims Audit
SSI's Claims Audit software documents all system and user changes made on claims in the billing application down to the transaction level. This means the mere viewing of claims is tracked and documented. When actual changes to the claim occur, Claims Audit saves the field prior to editing, after editing, the date, time, patient account number, field description and the person who made the changes.
This information is then saved to a defined record format and uploaded to the HIS. Reports are also readily available for tracking and auditing purposes. This type of detailed and comprehensive audit trail is integral to meeting today's HIPAA security and privacy requirements.
